What Does Texas Have to Offer?
Texas is a very diverse state with mountains, deserts, lakes, and miles and miles of sand dunes on the Gulf of Mexico. It has something to offer you whatever your particular preference. It also has a large number of vibrant, thriving cities with a variety of culinary schools and a range of different programs to choose from.
What Can Texas Culinary Schools Provide?
If you like the ocean you will find that the Texas Gulf Coast area is home to several culinary schools, although this area has more to it than a few beach resorts. The city of Houston is located here, the largest in Texas and fourth largest in the USA. Here you will find several culinary schools offering programs such as Associate of Applied Science Degrees in Baking and Pastry, Culinary Arts, and Restaurant and Catering Management.
If you are not a beach lover but someone who prefers city life, you might be interested in basing yourself in central Texas while you study at culinary school. This region is a pretty area of prairies, farmland, lakes and reservoirs, but is also home to the group of cities and communities known as the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
In Dallas itself you can work towards a variety of Associate of Applied Science degrees in culinary subjects or earn a certificate in Basic Culinary Skills, Food and Hospitality Services, or become a Certified Food and Hospitality Manager.
Texas also has many other cities and towns with culinary schools that might be of interest to you, such as Austin, Galveston, Corpus Christi, El Paso, San Antonio and Fort Worth.
